Michelle Romeo
Artistic Director, Founder, & Boulder
Program Director
Michelle holds degrees in Theatre and Dance from
Southern Oregon University and Naropa University. She has extensively
studied improvisation, voice, and theatre in New York City with
such renowned acting teachers as Stella Adler and Uta Hagen. Prior
to opening RMTK in 1996, Michelle wrote and directed several plays
and films in The Bay Area. Her passion is to create highly creative,
innovative, and fresh children’s theatre for the community.
She seeks to kindle the creative spirit in all of her students.
Michelle is proud to enter her 12th season as the artistic director
of Rocky Mountain Theatre For Kids.

Stuart Motola

Director
Stuart has been working with Rocky Mountain
Theatre For Kids since its inception twelve years ago. A state licensed
secondary school teacher, he has worked with children in the educational
and creative arena for over twelve years. He has a great passion
for helping children succeed on stage, which he has seen time and
again launch children’s self esteem to new heights. He brings
a wealth of educational, business, and production management experience
to Rocky Mountain Theatre For Kids.

Kate Lieberman Director
Kate was the executive director of Boulder
Conservatory Theater and assistant production manager at the
Omega Institute of Holistic Studies. She has recently taught
at Boulder Waldorf Kindergarten and The Mandala Center. Her
expertise include: musical theater, set/costume design, movement,
and voice. Kate received her theater education at Herbert
Berghoff Performance Studios in New York City. Kate most recently
co-directed our 2006 and 2007 Younger Company summer camps
and looks forward to directing the 2008 Younger Company Camps.

Mollie Mook
Director
Mollie received her BA in theatre from The University
of Colorado, and her MFA in Acting from the University of Iowa.
She has acted in regional theatre throughout the U.S. and in
Russia, and is currently on the theatre faculty at The University
of Colorado at Denver. She has a deep commitment to children's
theatre and has directed several programs throughout the state.
She's thrilled to be a part of the RMTK team and looks forward
to a creative fun-filled and collaborative year.

Crystal Verdon Director
Crystal has been teaching
in the arts for almost a decade. She recently relocated to Denver
from San Diego, where she taught extensively with San Diego
Junior Theatre (the oldest continuing children's theatre program
in the country), in addition to working with theatres including
The Old Globe, North Coast Repertory Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse,
and Lamb's Players Theatre. While in Colorado Springs, she was
a public school drama director, and the Theatre Education Coordinator
for the C.S. Fine Arts Center. She has also worked extensively
as a performer in San Diego with favorite credits including
Rita in Little Eyolf, Isabella and Mistress Overdone in
Measure for Measure, Rebecca in Paula Vogel's The Long Christmas
Ride Home, and Rose in Dancing at Lughnasa.

Lucia Rich
Choreographer / Asst Director
Lucia has been creating and performing original
works of physical theatre, clown, and dance for over 10 years
in venues world-wide, including New York City, Minneapolis,
Boulder, London, Edinburgh, France and Germany. She received
her MFA in Physical Theatre from Naropa University/ LISPA (London
International School of Performing Arts. She is a founding member
of The Octopus League here in Boulder, an innovative young theatre
collective that is working on its 5th original production. Lucia
has a passion for creative collaboration with young people,
and currently teaches dance and theatre in the Boulder/Denver
area through RMTK.

Amanda
Brown Choreographer
/
Asst Director
Amanda was raised in the local community theatres and art centers
in Dalton, GA. During college, she studied theater at the 2004
Summer Acting Conservatory at Michael Howard Studios in New
York City. In 2005, she obtained a B.A. in Theatre Arts at The
University of the South: Sewanee. In Dalton, Amanda served as
the Theatre Arts Director and Visual Arts Coordinator at The
Creative Arts Guild, and through a new-formed partnership with
Westwood Elementary, worked as their primary art teacher. Amanda
is excited about the new home she has found at RMTK and is thrilled
to have an opportunity to give to all the children who have
an interest in the arts. |

Concetta Troskie Choreographer
/ Asst Director
Concetta has studied classical and modern dance extensively
in Barcelona, Spain and New York City where she performed professionally
at such venues as the Joyce Soho and WAX Arts Nexus. Concetta
has worked with Lemon Sponge Cake Contemporary Ballet in Boulder,
and was Creative Director and Choreographer for her own company
'Samaya' for several years before beginning her MFA studies
in Dance at CU. She is successfully working as a professional
stage actor in Denver (at such venues as the Aurora Fox and
Germinal Stage), voice-over artist for national radio and industrial
videos, and on several local television commercials. Concetta
has also trained at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.

Heidi Anderson Denver
Musical Director
Heidi is so honored to be a part of Rocky
Mountain Theater for Kids. She holds a Bachelors of Music Arts in
Classical Vocal Performance from the Eastman School of Music. She
has been performing professionally around the world since the age
of 19. Heidi was one of the youngest members of the prestigious Tanglewood
Music Center's Opera Program and has won numerous Opera competitions
including one in Salzburg, Austria, which yielded a solo concert at
the famous VonTrapp home. After pursuing a life of performing in New
York, Heidi decided to start a family here in Colorado where she began
teaching Performing Arts. Ms. Anderson is passionate about imparting
her love for music to children.
